Janine is a paediatric physiotherapist with over 28 years of experience and a commitment to providing comprehensive care to infants in the Ottawa region.
Janine graduated from the University of Toronto’s Physical Therapy Program in 1998 and went on to complete a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science in 2005. Janine worked at SickKids in Toronto for 16 years, with experience in pediatric oncology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, and transplant care, and has published over 10 research papers on childhood cancer rehabilitation. She was also a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Toronto for 15 years and has provided teaching and consultation internationally.
Since 2016, Janine has focused on in-home pediatric physiotherapy, working with hundreds of infants and young children in Ottawa. In 2024, she rebranded her practice as Ottawa Infant Physio, reflecting her specialized training and whole-body approach to infant care.

After graduating from the University of Toronto MSc (PT) program in 2025, Maggie worked as a staff physiotherapist at SickKids for over 14 years, providing care in various programs including Neurosurgery, Neurology, Trauma, and Rheumatology. During her time at SickKids, Maggie also enjoyed teaching and regularly participated in the clinical supervision of physiotherapy students and lecturing in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.
In 2019, Maggie brought her passion for paediatric physiotherapy to the community, opening her own in-home therapy services in Halton Region. In 2025, Maggie re-named her practice Halton Infant Physio to reflect her focus on caring for infants and toddlers.
As a life-long learners, Maggie and Janine are passionate about continuing education and professional development.
Both Maggie and Janine have participated in many learning opportunities to advance their practice in supporting newborns and babies with postural asymmetry (torticollis, plagiocephaly), infant feeding support (breast/chest and bottle), assessment and treatment of oral tension (i.e. tethered oral ties) and supporting early motor development. From manual therapy and fascial courses, feeding and oral motor education, and neurodevelopment courses, we love an opportunity to grow!
